Chocolate Cranberry Crackles

 

Ingredients

  • 4 squares (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons Davis Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup walnuts, chopped
  • ½ cup (approximate) powdered sugar

Cooking Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat chocolate, oil, and 2 cups sugar until creamy.
  2. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine flour, Davis Baking Powder and salt; beat into sugar mixture.
  3. Stir in cranberries, chocolate chips and walnuts. Chill for 1 to 2 hours or until the dough is easy to handle.
  4. Drop by teaspoonfuls into powdered sugar; roll to coat. Place on greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on rack. Makes 4 dozen cookies
