Jumbo Shells with Meat Filling

Serving Size: 8-10 servings
Cook Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (12 oz.) RONZONI® JUMBO SHELLS, uncooked

  • 2 lb. ground beef, pork or turkey

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 cup flavored dry bread crumbs

  • 1 cup (4 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 3/4 cup very finely chopped onion

  • 3/4 teaspoon dried oregano leaves

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 3 cups (about 28-oz. jar) spaghetti sauce

  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Cooking Instructions

Heat oven to 375°F. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile, in large skillet over medium heat, brown meat until thoroughly cooked; drain. In large bowl, stir together meat, eggs, bread crumbs, mozzarella cheese, onion, oregano, salt and pepper. In 13 x 9 x2-inch baking dish, spread 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce; fill each cooked shell with 1-1/2 level tablespoons meat filling. Layer one-half filled shells in prepared dish; spread one-half remaining sauce over shells. Layer remaining shells over sauce; spread remaining sauce over shells. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese; cover with foil. Bake 40 minutes or until hot and bubbly (doubling recipe or more may require increased baking time). Makes 8 to10 servings.
