Blueberry Matcha Smoothie with Fruits from Chile

February is Heart Health Month so we're celebrating by infusing blueberries into our daily lives, with a smoothie that's so easy to make. Blueberries from Chile are the main ingredient that packs the heart-healthy boost we all need.

Febrero es el Mes de la Salud Cardíaca, por lo que lo estamos celebrando incorporando arándanos a nuestra vida diaria, con un licuado que es muy fácil de preparar. Los arándanos de Chile son el ingrediente principal que contiene el impulso saludable para el corazón que todos necesitamos.

Ingredients:

1 ¼ cup milk of your choice
1 Chilean peach or nectarine, stone removed and roughly chopped
1/3 cup blueberries from Chile
1 small banana (or half of a large one), peeled and roughly chopped
½ cup baby spinach
1 tsp matcha powder
2 tsp honey (or sweeten to taste)
Optional: 2 tbsp oats

Directions:

Using a blender, blend ingredients together until thick and even consistency. Drink promptly.
Tip: You can use frozen banana to make this even creamier.
This smoothie filled with fresh Fruits from Chile in addition to some green goodness. Enjoy!
Makes 1 ¾ cups

1 melocotón chileno o nectarina, sin hueso y picado en trozos grandes
1/3 taza de arándanos de Chile
1 plátano pequeño (o la mitad de uno grande), pelado y picado en trozos grandes
½ taza de espinacas tiernas
1 cucharadita de polvo de matcha
2 cucharaditas de miel (o endulzar al gusto)
Opcional: 2 cucharadas de avena

Direcciones:

Usando una licuadora, mezcle los ingredientes hasta obtener una consistencia espesa y uniforme. Beba puntualmente.
Consejo: puedes usar plátano congelado para hacerlo aún más cremoso.
